Reverse Crit with dRMM

  • dRMM 148 Tooley Street London, England, SE1 2TU United Kingdom (map)

The crit is an essential (and intimidating) part of architectural education and practice. Join dRMM in an informative and fun event that turns the tradition on its head, instead putting you in charge and giving you the chance to crit one of dRMM's emerging designs.

As well as learning how to participate in a crit, what to think about, and what questions to ask, participants will gain an understanding of how architects evaluate a new site, where design concepts come from, and how initial designs emerge. The process of architectural design will be revealed in a way that is engaging and educational for young people thinking about pursuing a career in the built environment.

William Marshall, Senior Architectural Designer

William undertook his architectural studies at the University of Sydney, completing his Masters in Architecture with honours. He spent a number of years at an award-winning practice in Sydney where he gained valuable experience working on the design and delivery of a number of high-end residential and commercial projects, completing his architect’s registration in New South Wales. After moving to London, William worked in a small practice on the delivery of a number of small scale commercial projects before joining dRMM.

At dRMM, William is currently working on several large residential-led mixed use developments, as well as the delivery of an innovative timber design for a series of light industrial units in Charlton. Outside of the studio; William is an avid cook and enjoys running around the city.
