Writing about architecture with Make Architects

  • MAKE Architects 32 Cleveland Street London, England, W1T 4JY United Kingdom (map)

Architecture can be a subject filled with complex language that is difficult to understand or relate to. In this writing workshop, Kate and Roshan from Make Architects ’ Communications team will take you through the basics of clearly communicating your ideas and designs.

You’ll get to tour Make’s London studio and take part in creative writing exercises, working with architectural models and VR equipment. At the end of the workshop, we hope you leave feeling confident writing about your ideas, in your own voice.

Roshan D'souza joined Make in 2021 and leads digital communications for all Make brands, including website and intranet development, social media, email marketing, and analytics. He also assists with press and media relations.

A built environment enthusiast, Roshan is passionate about architectural communications and the way practices communicate with clients, peers, and the wider public. He combines his digital marketing and research experience to develop his blog The Built Environment Review.

Kate Fleming joined Make’s Communications team in 2022 after relocating from Melbourne to London. She works across Make’s internal and external comms, proofing, writing, and editing for all three studios.

She has previously worked as a freelance writer and editor for magazines, websites, and publishers, and has a particular interest in fashion and sustainability writing. Kate has a Master’s in Writing, Publishing, and Editing from the University of Melbourne, and a double bachelor’s degree in arts and music from Monash University.
