Shape the Future of London – Free Community Workshop (GLA London Plan Consultation)
Join us for a free, in-person workshop hosted by Planning Aid London and facilitated by Beyond The Box CIC, where your views can help shape the future of London’s growth and development over the next 20–25 years.
This is your chance to learn more about how the planning system works, discuss key issues affecting Londoners today, and contribute your ideas to the official Towards a London Plan consultation led by the Greater London Authority.
What’s the workshop about?
As London faces big challenges — from affordable housing and climate change to wellbeing, transport and regeneration — the GLA is seeking public feedback on the priorities for London’s next major planning framework.
We want to make sure that every voice is heard — especially those who may not usually take part in formal consultations.
At this workshop, we’ll:
Demystify the planning system and explain why it matters to you.
Provide a simple overview of the Towards a London Plan proposals.
Facilitate open discussions on key themes like housing, climate, wellbeing, transport, and regeneration.
Support you to submit your own response to the GLA consultation (closing 22 June).
Gather collective insights that will feed into an Open Letter to the Mayor, as part of a wider community advocacy campaign.
