St Raphs Youth Voices on Regeneration | Beyond the Box CIC

This film captures the beginning of Beyond the Box’s engagement with residents of St Raphael’s Estate in Brent, working alongside young people and community members to explore how regeneration could better reflect the needs and experiences of those who live there.

Through workshops, conversations, and creative inquiry, young residents helped surface key questions about belonging, opportunity, and the future of their neighbourhood. These insights informed a broader programme of social value activity developed in collaboration with local partners and architects working on the estate’s regeneration.

Rather than treating consultation as a one-off exercise, the project centred youth voice and community knowledge as an ongoing part of the design process. The work laid the foundations for later initiatives on the estate, demonstrating how creative practice can support more equitable and inclusive approaches to urban change.
