This film tells the story of the Lost Blocks Collective, a youth-led creative initiative developed on Broadwater Farm Estate in Tottenham. Beginning in 2020, Beyond the Box worked with local young residents to co-design a programme of creative workshops, events and cultural activities that would celebrate the stories and identities of the estate.

Five young residents were commissioned to help shape the vision of the project, leading to the formation of the Lost Blocks Collective in 2021. Together, they transformed a disused drying room within one of the housing blocks into a podcast studio and creative space where they could interview residents and explore the often unheard histories of Broadwater Farm.

Through media training, creative workshops and partnerships with artists and cultural organisations, the collective developed new skills while creating work that reflects the past, present and future of their community.
