This film documents the My Palace Programme, an initiative led by Beyond the Box as part of the Crystal Palace National Sports Centre redevelopment in partnership with the Greater London Authority and project design teams.

Young Londoners were recruited as sports leaders and equity designers, receiving specialised training on access, inclusion, and the principles of equitable design. Through the programme, sports leaders organised and delivered sports and wellbeing sessions for the community, while equity designers observed the sessions to identify barriers and opportunities around accessibility and participation.

Using these insights, the young designers developed proposals for more inclusive facilities at Crystal Palace. Their research and ideas were later presented to the wider project team at City Hall, demonstrating how youth-led insight can inform the future of major civic spaces.
